At Sierra Student Apartments, we value multitudes of cultures and ideas. In celebration of February being Black History Month, we’ve hosted events throughout the month that focus on celebrating and uplifting Black voices and artists.
At the beginning of February, we highlighted Black musicians through a Sierra Student Apartments Playlist competition. We also hosted a Paint Night that highlighted some of the most prestigious Black artists such as Ed Clark. We finished out our February resident events with a Sierra Student Apartments Trivia Night. On a Friday at 5pm we hosted a virtual Trivia Night which focused entirely on educating and highlighting Black voices.
We are putting an emphasis on education and celebrating the Black community at the same time. The winner of the Trivia Night got their choice of an item from a Black-owned small business.
Sierra Student Apartments hopes to spread awareness, love, and acceptance both inside and outside of our community.
